Constipation occurs when a person has difficulty enlarging the colon. Home remedies and lifestyle changes can often help resolve this, but sometimes it may require medical attention.

Constipation can occur for a number of reasons, with the colon passing through the stool very slowly. Food moves slowly through the digestive system; the colon absorbs more water and the stool becomes hard.

  • Fecal action, which causes dry stool to coagulate and freeze in the rectum and anus, resulting in mechanical blockage.

Drink more water

It has been proven that people who do not drink enough water are more likely to suffer from constipation. People should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. It keeps your body hydrated, transfers food to the intestines, helps it digested faster and the stool comes out more easily.

Regular dehydration can make a person constipated. To prevent this, it is important to drink enough water and boil it.

When a person has constipation, they can get relief from drinking some carbonated (sparkling) water. This helps them rehydrate and keep things in order.

Some studies have found that sparkling water is more effective than tap water in relieving constipation. It occurs in people with dyspepsia, and in people with chronic idiopathic constipation.

Dietary fibre

A low-fibre diet plays a role in constipation. Insoluble fibres that do not pass almost through the body give the benches a juicy and smooth texture so that they are easy to get over. A diet high in insoluble fibre includes whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Try Bran, brown rice or whole grain bread.

To get relief from constipation, you have to include Spinach in your diet. You can choose raw or uncooked food according to your taste.

If you are suffering more from constipation, take half a glass of spinach juice with water every day.

Lemon Water

Lemon juice is one of the most effective home remedies for constipation. In lemons contains citric acid which helps speed up your digestive system and can flush out toxins from your body.

Take a glass of water and squeeze a lemon in glass stir it well and consume early morning.  And also, adding lemons to your tea is a home remedy for constipation and can also improve digestion.

Coffee

Coffee promotes digestion as it contains oil, fibre and water. As it is diuretic, it increases the desire to visit the bathroom and stimulates the muscles in the digestive system in the process.

In one study, caffeine stimulated the gut in a similar way to coffee food. This effect is 60 percent stronger than drinking water and 23 percent stronger than drinking decaffeinated coffee. Keep in mind that excessive coffee intake can cause neurological problems.

To prevent this, mix 250 mg of caffeine coffee in a glass of warm, clean water. Drink before morning.

Anjeer

Castor oil

Castor oil, has laxative properties it is effective home remedy for constipation. This oil stimulates bowel movements and moisturizes the process without absorbing the intestinal wall. Studies in Nigeria have found castor oils to help children with digestive problems and to facilitate bowel movements.

Castor oil usually has an unpleasant taste. To make it more delicious, you need to store the oil in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Then add 15 ml to a full glass of fruit juice.

Ginger Tea

Ginger is said to be the preferred remedy for constipation, and helps in speed up digestion. Ginger tea has a mild laxative effect which improves bowel function.

Peppermint, one of the most delicious and healthy herbal teas, has two properties: antispasmodic and carminative menthol, which helps relax the muscles of the digestive system and allows for an easy transition to food. The carminative property also facilitates flatness.

Take 2 tbsp of honey 3 times daily.
